The Environmental Assessment Commission of the Valparaíso Region, during its last session, approved the Aconcagua Project, a desalination plant that will be located in Puchuncaví and which is the first of its kind in the area. The initiative belongs to Aguas Pacífico SpA, a company of the Brazilian Patria lnvestments, the largest private investment fund in Latin America, with assets under management of more than US $ 12.0 billion and with a presence in Chile since 2012.
