Regulator approves construction of desalination plant in Puchuncaví

The Aconcagua project, whose investment capital will be US $ 162 million, will have a capacity of 1,000 litres per second and seeks to reduce the structural deficit of the water resource in the Aconcagua basin.

Wednesday, August 01, 2018.- The Environmental Assessment Service (SEA) of the Valparaíso Region has approved the Environmental Qualification Resolution (RCA) of the Aconcagua Project, which consists of a desalination plant in order to mitigate part of the impact from a lack of water in the area.
